All the kids are back in school and now things can get back to their normal routine — rushing around like crazy in the morning making breakfasts and lunches; sorting through the homework, notes, permission slips, and forms; and curating enough artwork to paper a warehouse of refridgerators.
If back-to-school chaos is leaving you longing for those lazy days of summer, then take a break and join us at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, for our Red Barn Workshop featuring professional organizer Judy Parkins.
Judy packed the house the last time she led a workshop for us and I expect this one to be just as popular. So sign up early to reserve your spot. Here are the details:
7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.,
Wednesday, September 14.
Red Barn Mercantile,
113 S. Columbus St.,
in Old Town Alexandria.
We will chat about how to keep your kids organized throughout the schoolyear, from backpacks to art projects, to homework and toys.
Judy Parkins founded Gently Organized in 2003. An organizer at heart, from a young age Judy found comfort in cleaning out drawers and organizing closets. Years later, she still finds it great fun to organize.
Judy has a B.A. from Antioch University in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and an M.S. from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
